Our Mission Statement:

A Special Connection Foundation provides exceptional care and specialized services that empower and encourage special needs individuals to reach their fullest potential and lead fulfilling lives as independently as possible.



A SPECIAL CENTER
Our convienently located 10,290 square foot Mesa, AZ facility is separated into age-appropriate spaces, habilitation focus stations, and activity areas each specially designed to provide optimum achivement and growth.

Teen Sector
Teens have a host of activities to choose from including Wii, Foosball, board gamse, big screen TV, arts and crafts, and arcade games!

Kid's Fun Zone
5000 sq ft of FUN, FUN, FUN! Basketball hoop, kick ball, dress-up room, video game room, arts & crafts, playhouse, board games, and a movie theatre!

Habilitation Focus Stations
Kitchen, bathrooms, dressing rooms, 8 computer stations, queit station, American Sign Language, Money, Letters, time, Numbers-Colors-Shapes, Who am I, Community Safety Signs, Functional Reading, Matching (Fine Motor Skills), Emotions (Social Skills), and Library Corner.

Resource Tap
We have created a quiet work area for parents with an organized abundance of parent resources. "Helpful Tips to Better Manage Your Life of a Special Needs Child" is a monthly class that is open to all parents of special needs children. This is a course given by experienced parents of special needs kids. Call for schedule and details.

Therapy and Clinic Community Outreach Center
This room offers our unique families a variety of services throughout the year and new services are always being added. We bring in a dentist to do basic checkups, arrange for flu shots during flu season, blood drives, hearing tests, vision exams, and even a CPA to help you with your taxes. New services are always been added.


A SPECIAL STAFF
Care providers are fully licensed and certified by the State of Arizona to provide superior care and services for children, teens and adults with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and other Cognitive Disabilities. 

Licenses, Certifications & Requirements
In addition to being fully certified by the state, each provider is specifically trained to meet the special needs of his or her assigned child.  Provider training requirements and certifications include, but are limited to: CPR, First Aid, Skill Building, Article 9, Positive teaching techniques, CIT I &II, CPI, and Behavior Management Strategies.  Finally, all providers must pass a thorough criminal background check, finger printing and drug testing.

Management
Our second to none management team’s extensive 48 year combined background is in recreational therapy, occupational therapy, early childhood education, special education, medication training, crisis invention training, article nine and behavior management.
